Dederick Daugherty Community Service Scholarship

Requirements:

The recipient must be a high school senior currently enrolled in any high school in the state of Mississippi.

 

The recipients must plan to attend Mississippi State University.

 

 

Scholarship Inclusion:

The recipient of this scholarship will receive a $1,000 scholarship paid directly to Mississippi State University.

 

 

Application Requirements:

Applicants will be required to submit a 2-4 minute video presentation answering the following question.

If you could dream of one change that would improve the journey to higher education for all highschool seniors, what would it be?

 

Please include the following in your response:

• Introduction. Tell us your name, where you are from, your current high school, and where you plan to attend college.
• Response. If you could dream of one change that would improve the journey to higher education for all highschool seniors, what would it be?
• Personal. What would be your reservations(if any) in pursuing this dream?
• Lessons. How do you think this dream would impact society as a whole?
• Closing. How would receiving this scholarship contribute to your career path?

 

Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA; must submit school transcript when applicable.
